Worldwide Sherry 7 days, the world’s premier celebration of wines from Southern Spain, will take place this year from 7th to 13th November and Cava Bodega in Galway’s Westend is joining in the celebrations. Chef patron JP McMahon has prolonged been a passionate proponent of Sherry, observing it as as well typically undervalued and beneath appreciated, and is keen to share his awareness of, and adore for, the Spanish staple.
Even though the drinks menu at award-winning Cava Bodega is fully devoted to Spanish wine and Sherry, the fortified wine is also a regular element in the tapas made by Jp and his staff. Favourites involve Clams, Chorizo and Oloroso Sherry Totally free Variety Duck with Plums and PX Sherry Pork fillet with serrano ham, apricots & Amontillado Sherry Octopus, Chorizo and Oloroso Sherry and whole Prawns in Fino Sherry.
These well-known tapas dishes will function on the Cava Bodega menu through International Sherry Week from Monday 7th until Sunday 13th November. Diners can also sample flights of Sherry which include glasses of PX, Fino and Oloroso Sherry for €15. The week will also see a diverse Sherry showcased each night at €5 for each glass.
On Thursday, 10th November from 5pm to 6pm, JP will host the Cava Bodega Sherry & Tapas Tasting event. With constrained tickets out there at €35 per human being, guests will take pleasure in tapas and Sherry pairings personally chosen and presented by JP McMahon.
